following up:

"real bread? with yeast?" she asks. but of course. i do not screw around when it comes to baked goods. i made whole wheat bread, it was ok, i took my parents a loaf, they really liked it, i think i can do better. i should look into taking a breadmaking class.


also, the upstairs neighbors! still! i'm really not being unreasonable, and boy, can i be unreasonable.

oh abd before i forget, i had the best coffee ever in life this morning. with chicory. and cane sugar juice. and whole milk. coffee will never be the same. sigh. but wait! the exact recipe! it's on the interweb! joy! pure caffienated joy! i could write haikus about this stuff:

hmm...another installment on apartment living...and of course, what's baking?

roommate has been in the bathroom for 40 minutes and has only just gotten into the shower. what is she doing in there? it's not just a sunday thing, it's an every day thing. every morning when her alarm goes off(which can be heard anywhere in the apartment) i run to the bathroom because if i don't "go" before she takes over the bathroom, well sorry charlie...


i've been in the kitchen tons lately, this morning, i'm baking bread, real bread, this should be interesting and hopefully tasty, i found the recipe over on orangette's blog. i might make her chocolate bouchons for valentines day, though this remains to be seen. i really wish that, not only did i have a bigger kitchen, but a fully equipped one. i was looking thorugh an old martha the other night and there was a full spread of her insane kitchen. sigh. well i would at least like a blender-you have to start somewhere, right?

treats

here are my treats that i made today, the monkey bread is super yummy and the muffins are pretty good, too. i used wheat flour in both, and i have to say that i really can't tell the differnece in the bread, the muffins were a little wheat-ier, i'll be fine, besides, they also have bananas and chocolate chips in them. ha. yummo. ha.
